Safeway - Ziploc and Produce
This is just another example of how couponing can help you get your produce for much cheaper! I did the Ziploc deal posted on KCL and used 2 $3 catalinas from last week (thank you moneymaker Corn Flakes!) to bring my 1st transaction total down to $3. I took the $4 catalina I received from the Ziploc deal to buy produce and only spent $2.83 for all those veggies!
Albertsons Doublers = Love
Since I did this deal on Tuesday, I'll spare you the details and coupons that I used...suffice it to say that the Velveeta was FREE with doublers and produced a nice $1.50 catalina which I turned around in the 2nd transaction to pay for the majority of the frozen dinners (I got 15 in total). I was surprised to find both Albertsons well stocked with all these items - especially the frozen dinners, since they were on sale 2/$1! My husband likes to take these for lunch, and having them net out to $.05 a piece is fantastic!

Doublers - One Last Albertsons Run
Saved: 99.4%
I did 3 transactions, and thanks to doublers, I only paid tax on the Puffs (I used some VocalPoint coupons to get them for free!). The Drumsticks were only $.50 after using the $1/1 coupon from the 5/2 SS, and the Nesquiks were $.29 each after the $1/2 coupon from the 5/2 SS. I brought my total down by using a $1.04 balance I had left on an Albertsons gift card. All in all, it was an awesome evening!

Albertsons Doublers and Safeway Weekend Sale!
Safeway
Saved: 72%
Not pictured: Silk Almond Milk, Kraft Caesar Salad Dressing
I decided to brave it and try the buy 5, save $5 promo on Kraft products - but, it didn't work for me on these products even though some blogs reported it did. I had a free and $1/1 coupon from Kraft First Taste that I used to get the Philadelphia Minis for nearly free. The 100 Calorie Cheese Bites ended up being the most pricey item, but they'll be enjoyed by my daughter...and I can't complain about 72% savings. I think I'm going to go back and use the Kraft salad dressing coupon in today's paper to get more for even cheaper...yes, I paid $.99 a bottle!
Albertsons
Saved: $12.50
Not Pictured: Catalina for FREE Gallon of Milk
I lucked out on getting the Kix cereal - there was 1 box left in the normal aisle, but I kept searching and found quite a few on a pallet near the dairy. One of the boxes had a peelie for $1.50 off bananas when you bought 2 boxes of Kix, so the bananas were FREE! And, buying 4 boxes of Kix triggers a free milk catalina. Awesome deal.
Total Saved: $25.59
Not Pictured: 2 pkgs Mission Tortillas
It was a blessed coupon day - the coupon fairies were out in force! I found 3 $1.50/2 coupons taped near the tortillas and used them to get 6 packages for $.24!!! The Kashi cereal was $.50 with doublers, and the Capri Sun was FREE!
I went back and did an additional transaction, but I don't have a picture for it. I got another Kashi Cereal and 2 Kraft Melt Downs. I spent $.50 and saved about $12. My husband loves making nachos, so these seemed like a fun thing for him to try - and you can't beat the price :o] If you just love the feeling of getting things for free, here's what I did:
Kraft Melt Downs (near the string cheese) $1.69
Use: $1/1 from 4/25 SS and a doubler
FREE!!!

10 lbs Russet Potatoes, 3 Jars of Prego, Kashi Heart to Heart Cereal, Ore-Ida Hash Browns, Yo-Baby Yogurt - 6 pack, Dozen Eggs
Used:
FREE Kashi Heart to Heart coupon (came with a sample)
$1/1 Ore-Ida Hash Browns from 3/21 SS
$4 Catalina from Transaction 1
Safeway In-Ad Coupons:
$.99 for 10 lbs of potatoes
$1.99 for Ore-Ida Potatoes
$1.25 for Prego Sauce
Received:
$1 Catalina for buying 3 Prego Sauces
The second trip was okay, but not incredible. I went way over the $10 minimum I needed in order to use the super coupons, but I didn't feel like going to a different store to get a better price on the eggs. Also, I think there's a coupon for Prego in the 2/7 SS that I didn't have clipped and in my binder, so I missed out on some extra savings there, too. Basically, I'm going to call this a "lazy couponer" trip! :)
